Lockheed Martin is looking for a dynamic Systems Engineer Senior to join the Next Gen Geo team within the Satellite Engineering, Operations & Sustainment Support program. This role will focus on supporting infrastructure, virtualization technologies, and Windows operating systems, including providing Systems Engineering support and coordinating project schedules.

Responsibilities

Provide Systems Engineering support

Ability to Support Adjusted Work Hours Based on Program Needs

Troubleshoot virtualization and Windows Systems

Support user profile creation and maintain tools

Support the Systems Engineering leadership team in planning and execution of work scope and Program execution

Lead, generate and coordinate schedules with stakeholders

Ensure that projects are completed on schedule following established procedures, schedules, system requirements, and work plans

Support the planning, organizing, control, Integration and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility, and with the customer when needed

Obsolescence Tracking & Support

Ensure Engineering is coordinated across Program and suppliers

Support the coordination of NGG System issues from a SEOSS Perspective

Support technical meetings standardizing processes across programs

Support Ad hoc tasking by Program Technical Leaders

VMware VCP or VCAP certification

Microsoft MCSA or MCSE certification

Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA) certification

OpenShift and OpenStack certifications, such as Red Hat OpenShift Administration or OpenStack Foundation Certified OpenStack Administrator

Knowledge of containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes

Experience with automation tools and scripting languages, such as PowerShell, Python, or Perl

Experience with agile development methodologies and DevOps practices

Knowledge of IT security frameworks and compliance regulations, such as DCSA

Experience with cloud-based storage solutions, such as Ceph or Gluster

Experience with cloud computing platforms, including OpenShift and OpenStack

Ability to obtain DoD top secret security clearance
