Accounts Payable (AP) Manager

Grindr is looking for a seasoned Accounts Payable (AP) and Procurement leader to own and optimize their full purchase-to-pay process. The role involves leading the Accounts Payable function, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring operational excellence across financial operations.

Responsibilities

Lead the Accounts Payable function, overseeing invoice processing, payments, vendor management, and reconciliations with accuracy and efficiency
Design and implement scalable AP processes and internal controls to support a growing, multi-entity organization
Own the procurement lifecycle, from vendor selection and contract review through purchase order approval and payment
Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, and department leaders to ensure compliance with company policies and timely vendor onboarding
Develop and track KPIs for AP and procurement performance, driving continuous improvement
Manage systems and automation, including ERP and expense platforms, to enhance efficiency and visibility
Provide timely month-end close support for accruals, reporting, and reconciliations
Act as subject matter expert on accounting and procurement best practices, supporting audits and internal reviews

Required

6-10 years of experience in Accounts Payable and Procurement roles, including time as a process owner or people manager
Proven success leading or supervising an AP function in a growing or mid-sized company
Deep familiarity with end-to-end procurement, including vendor selection, contracting, POs, and approvals
Experience working in tech, media, or multi-entity environments preferred
Expertise with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle), Procurement Systems (e.g., Zip) and strong Excel / data skills
High attention to detail and a mindset for operational improvement
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, service-oriented approach
