Electrical Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

Design and develop electrical systems, schematics, and wiring diagrams for RPPs and PDUs that meet Accelevation’s performance, safety, and compliance standards
Specify and qualify electrical components including breakers, receptacles, meters, transformers, and power monitoring modules
Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical drawings for production within Epicor
Partner with mechanical engineering to optimize enclosure layout and integration
Develop and maintain quality control systems and test procedures to ensure consistency, reliability, and UL/NEC compliance
Conduct validation testing and root cause analysis to support continuous product improvement
Ensure all designs meet UL, CE, and customer-specific electrical standards and certifications
Collaborate with manufacturing to ensure designs are optimized for scalability, efficiency, and ease of assembly
Support build readiness reviews, testing protocols, and equipment qualification for new product launches
Partner with supply chain to identify approved components and suppliers that meet quality and cost objectives
Drive standardization across drawings, test plans, and documentation to eliminate waste and improve quality throughput
Participate in Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to enhance process control, reliability, and system efficiency
Support the development of automated testing or diagnostic systems to improve product validation
Partner closely with Supply Chain, Engineering, and Corporate Operations to align plant output with customer demand and company objectives
Utilize ERP (Epicor preferred) and operational dashboards to monitor performance, analyze trends, and make informed decisions

Required

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required
3–7 years of experience in electrical system design, preferably in RPPs, PDUs, switchgear, or data center power equipment
Experience with power systems ranging from 208V–480V AC and 24V–48V DC
Familiarity with UL, NEC, and CE standards

Preferred

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred
