Assistant/Associate Professor of Environmental Science and Policy and Biology
Franklin Pierce University is seeking a broadly-trained applied ecologist for a faculty position in the Departments of Biology and Environmental Science and Policy. The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses, maintaining scholarly productivity, and mentoring students while contributing to the academic community.

Responsibilities
Teach 12 credits per semester (Fall and Spring) at the undergraduate level in introductory environmental science and conservation, and areas that may include marine biology, coastal ecology, limnology, water resources, or wetland ecology; courses that emphasize lab and field techniques and technologies; as well as in their specific areas of expertise
Establish an independent and productive research program including undergraduates
Mentor and advise undergraduate students
Contribute through service to the department, college, university, and professional communities
Qualification
Required
Ph. D in Environmental Science, Ecology, Biology or similar field (earned doctorate by the time of appointment)
Demonstrated teaching effectiveness at the college level
Strong commitment to undergraduate education, research and advising
