Golden Nugget Las Vegas is seeking a Host for their Cadillac Bar, responsible for providing exceptional guest service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Responsibilities

Provide friendly service with smiles, professional verbiage, escorting guests, allowing guests the right of way, pulling out chairs for guests, acknowledging special events and engaging in other friendly mannerisms to provide superior service to the guest
Welcome guests immediately, make eye contact and utilize spiels in accordance with the current spiel procedures, ensuring all required information is delivered to, and asked of the guest
Carry heavy trays efficiently and securely
Arrange table and chairs to accommodate guests’ needs
Answer the telephone with the prescribed spiels and proper telephone etiquette
Seat guests in accordance with their special needs, at an appropriate pace when escorting them to their tables, engage in friendly conversation, hand menus to guests, spiel the beverage menu, and thank guests for waiting when applicable
Able to utilize technology, including, the applicable seating systems. These systems require maintaining accurate wait times for guests, accurately recording guest information, seating in rotation, and communicating with Management and fellow employees pertinent guest information, such as birthdays, anniversaries and special requests
Promoting the bar area as an option while waiting for a table in the dining room or as a full-service dining experience
Knowledgeable of food and beverage menus and plate specifications. Knowledge must be used to ensure proper quality of products, presentation of product to the guest, enhancing the guests’ experiences with recommendations, executing salesmanship of featured items, accuracy of taking and placing orders and superior service
Maintain the guests’ table tops; properly set with silverware rolls, chairs and tables in their appropriate places, and supplied with all the appropriate necessities for the guests’ dining experience
Assist guests in any requests during their dining experience
Assist in smooth transitions between shifts and breaks and maintain the floor plans to ensure superior service to guests during these transitions
Knowledgeable of the Pivot Point system to ensure adherence to the #1 and #2 priority of the system, “hot food” and “cold drinks,” 360, room buddies, and all other aspects of the Pivot Point system
Ensure restaurant is sufficiently stocked with rolled silverware, and rolling silverware as necessary
Continuously engage in teamwork by offering help to fellow employees and managers to ensure the finest possible service is given to our guests
Follows direction efficiently and positively
Be courteous and respectful to everyone, and be positive and professional at all times
Adhere to all applicable policies and procedures, health, and alcohol laws
Maintain the host area organized, sanitized and stocked to PAR guidelines; including floors and “eye of the guest” debris-free
Maintain uniform and appearance according to established guidelines
Able to assist guests in questions regarding the Golden Nugget and local area
Communicate with Management of guest satisfaction, supply needs, or other area of the restaurant in need of attention
Always thank guests for choosing Cadillac Bar and invite them back
Give all lost and found items to the manager
All other job duties as assigned

Required

Health cards are required
Minimum one-year experience in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant is required
Must have great people skills, a clean and well-groomed appearance, and to be respectful of everyone
Must be capable of carrying heavy trays efficiently and securely
Thorough knowledge of proper service and etiquette
Must be technology savvy
Must read, write, speak, and understand English
1-year experience
Minimum age requirement is 18
Ability to read and understand all policies and procedures
Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, employees, and members of management in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities
Must possess basic mathematical skills to include ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide specific to position responsibilities

Preferred

Bachelor's or related degree preferred
