Data Science and Analytics Analyst
Publicis Communications is a leader in the marketing industry, seeking an Analyst to join its Data Science and Analytics practice. This role involves contributing to data-driven projects and delivering insights to clients, while collaborating with various teams to optimize measurement and reporting solutions.

Responsibilities
Learn all facets of the data from its origin and extraction to its interpretation and use
Understand Razorfish’s data capabilities and how data fits into a client's overall strategy
Understand the breadth of data services and crafts
Help to manage data team responsibilities within cross-capability projects
Identify / focus on key issues and objectives based on internal and client needs with oversight
Active listener and seeks to positively contribute to internal discussions
Prepare internal and client presentations with oversight
Write clear and concise summaries of own work
Participate actively in meetings with internal and external clients
Prioritize work to meet internal and external client deliverables
Identify when a request should be completed by the data team
Identify points of contact within internal and external clients
Understand internal and client-specific data tools and platforms for reporting and analysis
Assist in vendor and platform assessments
Proactively identify own learning gaps and seeks to answer them through internal resources or asking experts
Translate data into visuals (charts and graphs) that demonstrate the findings and can contribute to client presentations in PowerPoint
QA and ensure data integrity at collection, extraction, and activation point
Contribute to a learning agenda / measurement plan with guidance
Begin the process / build the basic structure of implementing a measurement program with guidance
Proficient in standard CRM key performance metrics such as, Email click through rate, offer redemption rate, incremental sales, incremental margin and approach to measurement
Extract, cleanse, and analyze data, identify trends and anomalies
Show foundation to derive insights from extracted and manipulated data
Demonstrate foundational ability to synthesize implications ("so whats?") from analysis
Use these insights to provide hypotheses and useful recommendations to advance KPIs
Qualification
Required
Experience in a business environment, preferably with experience successfully working with or adjacent to digital media or an intensively client-focused model, such as an external consulting or marketing services firm
Has working knowledge of statistical concepts / coding languages (or deep knowledge of statistical concepts that have not yet been applied in a marketing context)
Familiar with basic functions of Excel, including Pivot Tables and lookup formulas
Familiar with base case statements for SQL and RegEX
Familiarity with BI/Visualization tools
