CMM Programmer/Quality Technician

Responsibilities

Develop, write, and edit CMM programs in PC-DMIS for dimensional inspections of machined parts and assemblies
Review complex blueprints, GD&T, and engineering drawings to plan inspection strategies
Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections using statistical inspection methodologies
Operate a variety of precision inspection tools including CMMs, optical comparators, and electronic measurement equipment
Verify part finish, dimensions, and material characteristics per specifications
Record and analyze inspection data; communicate results clearly to engineering and production teams
Collaborate with engineers, machinists, and vendors to troubleshoot quality issues and support corrective/preventive actions
Create and conduct Gage R&R studies and introduce new inspection techniques
Continuously seek improvements in inspection efficiency and accuracy

Required

Technical college education in Quality Assurance, Inspection, or Machining, or equivalent hands-on experience
Proven experience in CMM programming using PC-DMIS (required)
Strong understanding of statistical quality assurance methods and inspection best practices
Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex blueprints and GD&T
Skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
Self-starter who takes initiative, asks questions, and provides solutions
Excellent communication and teamwork skills; comfortable collaborating across departments
Flexible, responsible, and open to feedback; able to work independently with minimal supervision
Willingness to work overtime and occasional weekends

Preferred

Familiarity with automatic vision inspection systems and plastic components
