Kansas City - Research Intern
The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City is recruiting for a Research Intern in their Economic Research Department. The Intern will work with a staff economist on an academic research project involving labor market information from early 20th-century newspapers, utilizing Python for data processing.

Work with a staff economist on an academic research project to extract labor market information from newspapers of the early 20th century
Use Python to process the newspapers
Develop technical skills and gain exposure to a range of economic research topics
Qualification
Required
Student in economics or a closely related field, such as statistics, mathematics, or computer science
Coursework or experience in economics required
Proficiency in Python required
Strong academic record with three years of undergraduate education preferred
Preferred
Coursework or experience in econometrics, mathematics, statistics, and computer science highly desirable
Knowledge of R desirable
Experience with empirical research and data analysis highly desirable
