Lead Pega Developer

They are seeking an experienced Lead Pega Developer to lead the design, development, and implementation of Pega-based solutions for government survey programs, ensuring compliance with federal standards and delivering high-quality applications.

Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of Pega applications for survey management and data collection
Translate business requirements into scalable Pega solutions aligned with government standards
Oversee application architecture, integration, and performance optimization
Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and project managers to ensure timely delivery
Mentor junior developers and enforce best practices in Pega development
Support deployment, troubleshooting, and enhancements in production environments
Ensure compliance with security, accessibility, and data privacy regulations
Qualification
Required
US Citizenship required by the government client
Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust
Candidate must reside in the U.S., be authorized to work in the U.S., and all work must be performed in the U.S
Candidate must have lived in the U.S. for three (3) full years out of the last five (5) years
Highschool degree with at least 10 years in a leadership or technical lead role
6+ years of experience with Pega PRPC, including system architecture, design, and development
Preferred
Pega Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) or higher
Strong understanding of Pega PRPC architecture, case management, and integration
Familiarity with DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Maven) in a Pega context
Knowledge of cloud-based deployments (e.g., Pega Cloud, AWS, Azure)
Exposure to Java, RDBMS, or other complementary technologies
Experience working on a project using the Scaled Agile Framework
Experience in a software development team building modern software products
Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and SDLC best practices
Experience working in large enterprise environments or on government contracts
Docker experience and/or an understanding of containerization
