SUPERVISORY TRAINING INSTRUCTOR (COMMAND AND CONTROL)
USAJOBS is seeking a Supervisory Training Instructor for the Department of the Air Force. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Technical Training Instructor and first-level supervisor, providing planning and direction to non-supervisory subordinate employees and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in training operations.

Responsibilities
Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the Command and Control Operations Instructors, ensuring that the courses taught comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs
Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities
Develops and/or revises lesson plans and training materials
Instructs students through assigned blocks of instruction at basic and/or advanced technical/administrative levels
Represents the Command and Control Operations section with a variety of installations and functional area organizations and works on special projects as directed

Position has been identified as a faculty member of the Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) which is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, Commission on Colleges (SACS-COC)
Minimum degree requirement of an Associate's Degree from CCAF OR a regionally or nationally accredited postsecondary institution in the discipline or in combination with appropriate work experience in Command and Control and the methods and techniques of instruction
The employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, to include evenings (shift work), weekends, and/or holidays
Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft
Work is performed in a classroom environment that involves everyday risks and common safety precautions. May at times require long periods of standing, moderate lifting and carrying ability (up to 50 lbs)
Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET Security clearance
This is a Supervisory Position; a 1-year supervisory probationary period is required if applicant selected has not previously met this requirement
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-09, or equivalent in other pay systems
Knowledge of a wide range of the principles and practical methods, techniques, and tools of instruction to teach a variety of students with a range of differences such as diverse ages, backgrounds, and levels of interest
Knowledge of Command and Control at a practical level to include knowledge and practical experience of Command Post, Emergency Actions or Battle Management
Knowledge of Air Force technical training administration, policies and procedures to achieve the goals and objectives of the organization
Knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, and EEO regulation, practices, and procedures
Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of a small to medium sized organization
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and establish and maintain effective working relationships
