Supply Chain Manager, Amazon Leo for Government
Amazon is a leading global technology company, and they are seeking a Supply Chain Manager for their Amazon Leo for Government team. Responsibilities
Manage the full procurement cycle from requirements gathering to order delivery and payment for ALG
Collaborate with stakeholders to define procurement needs and specifications for government customers
Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate options
Develop solicitation documents (RFPs, RFQs) and manage the bidding process
Lead negotiations with suppliers on pricing, terms and conditions for government contracts
Issue purchase orders and agreements, ensuring compliance with government procurement policies
Partner with Legal to draft and review contracts as needed
Work with Quality to inspect delivered goods and ensure conformance to requirements
Implement and manage the supplier onboarding process for ALG government programs
Build and maintain positive relationships with key suppliers in the government contracting space
Monitor supplier performance using KPIs like cost, quality, delivery, service levels
Oversee corrective actions for non-performing or non-compliant suppliers
Resolve supplier disputes, inquiries and approve/deny claims for ALG
Conduct periodic business reviews with strategic suppliers supporting ALG
Define and track procurement metrics (e.g. spend, lead times, supplier scorecards) for ALG
Analyze data to identify improvement opportunities and cost savings for ALG
Develop reports, visualizations and presentations to share with ALG leadership
Document processes and procedures related to ALG procurement activities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related technical field
4+ years of procurement, supply chain, inventory management, contract management, lease administration or operations experience
4+ years of experience in strategic sourcing including vendor negotiations, global contract management, process improvement, operational and financial analysis
4+ years of experience in a procurement organization performing vendor management, contract management, negotiating complex purchases, and bidding
This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance of TS/SCI
Preferred
Knowledge of SAP systems (like SAP Business Suite, S/4HANA, SAP Business Warehouse, SAP HANA, SAP Business Objects, etc.) and their architecture and infrastructure needs
Experience in a fast-paced, high-tech company, or experience completing complex tasks quickly with little to no guidance and react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround
Experience in developing and executing an analytic vision to solve business-relevant problems
Experience communicating complex business concepts in verbal and written form
Experience with US government procurement regulations (e.g. FAR, DFARS, ITAR, EAR)
Prior experience in the telecommunications/satellite industry
Experience in new product introduction (NPI) and mass production (MP) for government customers
Experience reading technical drawings, data sheets, fabrication drawings, BOMs and all related files
