Sales Engineer Tier 2 / Tier 3 (IT Managed Services)

The Sales Engineer will be a key technical member of the Sales Team, responsible for designing and presenting technology solutions that address client challenges and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure successful implementation.

Responsibilities
Work as part of the Sales Team to move opportunities forward and present clear, value-driven solutions
Design and scope standardized, scalable, and supportable solutions aligned to First Call’s technology standards
Balance solution fit, standards, and margin while preparing quotes, proposals, and technical diagrams
Coordinate with vendors on pricing, design validation, and SKUs; manage discounts and vendor relationships
Use quoting/configuration tools (ConnectWise CPQ, distributor portals) to deliver accurate and timely quotes
Leverage AI tools (ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot) and vendor programs to improve speed and accuracy
Document solution designs for delivery hand off and ensure clarity for implementation teams
Track requests, quotes, and estimates—ensuring nothing falls through the cracks
Maintain awareness of market and technology trends to improve solution design and team performance
Qualification
Required
3–5 years as a Tier 2 Engineer
3–5 years as a Tier 3 Engineer
Bachelor's in Information Technology, Business, or related field
Strong client communication
