Responsibilities

Conduct rigorous and innovative research in epidemiology and health services research or implementation science, focusing on areas such as infectious disease epidemiology, chronic disease epidemiology, health disparities, healthcare delivery systems, or health policy
Publish high-quality research findings in peer-reviewed journals and other scholarly outlets
Secure external funding to support research activities, including grants from federal agencies, foundations, and other sources
Teach and develop courses in epidemiology, health services research, implementation science, biostatistics, informatics, or related fields at the undergraduate and graduate levels
Mentor and advise graduate students, including supervising doctoral dissertations and master's theses
Provide academic and career guidance to students interested in pursuing careers in medicine and public health
Participate actively in departmental and university service, including serving on committees and contributing to the academic community
Collaborate with colleagues within the department, across the university, and with external partners to promote interdisciplinary research and educational initiatives
Engage with local, national, or international public health organizations and stakeholders to disseminate research findings and contribute to policy development

Required

A doctoral degree (PhD, DrPH, or equivalent) in epidemiology, health services research, implementation science, public health, or a related field
Demonstrated expertise in quantitative research methods and data analysis relevant to epidemiology and health services research or implementation science
Administrative data proficiency; Oracle Health electronic health record experience a plus
A record of scholarly achievement, including a history of publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals and success in obtaining research funding
Experience in teaching and mentoring students at the undergraduate or graduate level
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and external partners
