Responsibilities

Support the ongoing build-out and improvement of enterprise data stores (Oracle, CEPH, potentially MongoDB) including data access, persistence, and performance optimization
Apply strong knowledge of SQL tuning, indexing, stored procedures, and database internals
Develop server-side Python applications leveraging concurrency (asyncio, multiprocessing, threading)
Utilize Numpy, Pandas, and core Python data structures to handle data transformations and internal computation workloads
Develop and maintain APIs using REST, with strong hands-on experience in FastAPI
Support communication frameworks including gRPC and socket-based protocols (plus)
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines using Git, Azure DevOps, Artifactory, and related tools
Develop and maintain systems in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments
Collaborate cross-functionally to gather requirements, ensure alignment, and enhance existing data processes
Work iteratively within a dynamic environment, balancing quality, urgency, and completion of deliverables

Required

3–7 years of server-side development experience (degree-dependent)
Strong proficiency in Python, including intermediate-to-advanced concepts (concurrency, memory management, data structures, Numpy/Pandas)
Proficiency with Oracle PL/SQL, SQL tuning, indexes, views, stored procedures, and database optimization
Experience developing REST APIs (FastAPI preferred)
Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps, Artifactory
Strong experience developing on RHEL; Unix shell scripting exposure
Ability to work effectively in iterative, agile environments
Strong communication and self-management skills

Preferred

Experience with gRPC or socket-based communication
Experience with CEPH or MongoDB
Exposure to additional programming languages (Java, C++, Rust)
Familiarity with GOF design patterns (Factory, Facade, Singleton, etc.)
