Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks and tools to automate network design, deployment, and operational management processes, with a focus on Juniper Networks devices and solutions

Work closely with network and security engineers translating network security requirements into automated workflows

Develop and maintain network device templates and configurations

Implement and manage network automation solutions using tools such as Ansible and Python

Integrate automation tools with other systems for monitoring and configuration control

Code review, testing, and validation of automation scripts and tools to ensure reliability and scalability

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation scripts and network operations

Conduct training sessions and documentation to upskill staff in the use of network automation tools and best practices

Required

5+ years of recent and continuous experience in traditional networking domains (routing, switching, firewalls, WAN, WLAN, etc.)

3+ years coding, scripting for complex network environments

3+ years demonstratable experience with tooling, orchestration and automation in a Linux environment (Python, Ansible, Terraform, Git, CI/CD, APIs)

Required for Certain Job Profiles: Drivers who operate Commercial Motor Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or combination of power unit and trailer that meets or exceeds 10,001 lbs. and/or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce, may be subject to additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including: Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification (obtained before onboarding), Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing (CDL drivers only), vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training

Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical
