Responsibilities
Help tune camera networks
Debug robot reliability issues
Prototype mechanical and software fixes
Run experiments to push throughput higher
Configure and debug a distributed GigE vision system
Analyze end effector behavior from video and prototype design tweaks
Build and deploy a small test rig for in-line PCB validation
Collect performance data to inform our automation roadmap
Qualification
Required
US citizen/visa only
Experience building real robotic or mechatronic systems through classes, side projects, competitions, labs, or startups
Ability to think in systems and diagnose problems from first principles
Willingness to get hands dirty with both hardware and code
Ability to work autonomously and communicate clearly to a team
Desire to see work running in production, not just in a simulation
Hands-on experience building robots, automation systems, or mechatronics projects
Skills in mechanical CAD, Python or C++, and basic electronics/debugging
Experience troubleshooting under pressure (competitions, labs, hackathons, jobs)
Curiosity, resourcefulness, and bias toward action
Preferred
Experience with configuring and debugging a distributed GigE vision system
Experience analyzing end effector behavior from video and prototyping design tweaks
Experience building and deploying a small test rig for in-line PCB validation
Experience collecting performance data to inform automation roadmap
Familiarity with Beckhoff TwinCAT for industrial PLC integration
Familiarity with SolidWorks and/or Fusion 360 for mechanical design
Familiarity with GigE Vision, industrial sensors, motion control systems
