Responsibilities

Architectural Vision: Develop and maintain the enterprise architectural blueprint, roadmaps, and standards that align with the company's long-term business goals

Strategic Planning: Collaborate with business leaders and IT teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions and strategic architectural plans

Technology Governance: Establish and enforce architectural principles and governance processes to ensure solutions are scalable, reusable, and secure

Portfolio Management: Manage the enterprise application and technology portfolio, identifying opportunities to modernize, consolidate, and innovate

Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert, communicating complex architectural concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders across the organization

Innovation & Research: Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and architectural best practices, and recommend their adoption where appropriate

Team Collaboration: Mentor and guide solution architects and development teams, ensuring a consistent and high-quality approach to technology design and implementation

Required

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, system analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience

8+ years of experience in IT, with at least 3–5 years in enterprise or solution architecture roles

Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies, platforms, and processing environments

Deep understanding of retail operations and technologies, including e-commerce, POS, inventory management, supply chain, and customer engagement

Good understanding of product management, agile principles and development methodologies and capability of supporting agile teams by providing advice and guidance on opportunities, impact, and risks, taking account of technical and architectural debt

Experience developing architecture blueprints, strategies, and roadmaps

Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus among diverse teams

Preferred

Experience in developing and implementing enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman)

Experience working in the retail or convenience store industry, preferably with a global brand like Circle K

Understanding of security, data privacy, and compliance standards (e.g., PCI-DSS, GDPR)
