Responsibilities

Manages and deploys Health and Systems Process Improvement analysts, engineers, and managers in conjunction with director to drive successful execution of PI initiatives from project scoping, selecting an appropriate methodology, identifying KPIs, monitoring/supporting progress, implementation and re-measurement
Directly manages HSPI resources by measuring and tracking productivity, monitoring assigned projects and deploying resources as needed to meet needs of organization
Supports professional development and mentorship of HSPI resources
Manages and develops internal standard operating procedures to ensure the timely and effective completion of PI initiatives
Responsible for monitoring/documenting detailed process metrics (i.e. cost, quality, throughput, etc.) and project status of PI initiatives as well as updating key leadership and stakeholders on status of PI initiatives; effectively meets deadlines and/or communicates constraints
In conjunction with director, responsible for soliciting projects from all levels of organization and ensuring alignment with strategic plan of Mount Sinai Health System
In conjunction with director, provides technical guidance on continuous process improvement methodologies to leadership
Provides guidance on the development of continuous process improvement education and training programs for all levels of staff (Lean, Six Sigma, PDSA)
Creates and administers didactic training curriculum on a performance improvement tools. May administer training to all levels of the organization
Responsible for detailed documentation and record keeping of all completed and active PI initiatives to ensure sharing of best practices throughout organization
Responsible for the calculation and development of measures related to the ROI of Health Systems and Process Improvement
May serve as mentor to Health Systems and Process Improvement Analysts, Health Systems and Process Improvement Engineers, and junior Health Systems and Process Improvement Managers
Maintains current knowledge of health care delivery trends and evidence-based solutions for improving the delivery of care and services
Leads and facilitates initiatives as needed
Performs other duties as required

Required

Bachelors' degree in Business, Industrial Engineering, Health Care-clinical or administration, or related quantitative field required
8+ years direct operations management, performance improvement, or consulting experience in one or more of the following areas: Strategic planning, operations management, quality improvement, process improvement

Masters Degree preferred
