Responsibilities

Design, develop, test and oversee production software solutions, including the front end development of high volume trading platforms and systems

Communicate the architecture and principles behind a system to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Partner with Team Leaders, to provide technical leadership and direction for developers

Participate in retrospectives and seek opportunities to drive best practice

Provide leadership and guidance to team members through code reviews and mentoring

Required

Proven experience as a senior developer in high-performance trading systems or similar domains

Demonstrable experience in HTML5, React 18+, Typescript, JavaScript, JS Data Grid/AGGrid

5+ years of hands on React experience focused purely on UI performance and scalability for high performance trading applications

Strong, demonstrable experience with Websockets, high throughput UIs, and complex data grids capable of managing thousands of rows with virtual scrolling, memoization, and batched updates

Experience with JavaScript data grid AGGrid, Gridjs, MUI X Grid, TanStack Table, or similar

UI Libraries such as Material UI or Ant Design

CSS pre-processors such as SASS and LESS

Testing frameworks e.g. Jest

Performance profiling and optimization

Build tools such as Webpack

Code quality and governance tools such as Sonarqube

Responsive design and cross-browser compatibility

Version control systems such as git i.e. gitlabs

Agile development methodologies i.e. Scrum

Strong communication and collaboration skills
