Responsibilities
Perform and manage traffic operational analysis and traffic engineering studies
Perform safety analysis
Perform transportation master plan studies
Meet with clients
Communicate effectively with internal team members, subconsultant partners, and clients
Collaborate with roadway, structures, hydraulics, and environmental groups within our Transportation business unit
Lead and/or mentor a group of staff traffic engineers
Assist in proposal development
Qualification
Required
BS in Civil Engineering
Minimum 5-10 years of experience in traffic modeling / engineering
Proficiency with analysis software (VISSIM, Synchro, SimTraffic, HCS) required
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to monitor schedule and budgets
Ability to work in groups
Ability to lead and mentor a group of traffic engineers
Preferred
PE license preferred
PTOE preferred
Experience in VISUM, SIDRA preferred
VDOT, MDOT and/or design-build experience preferred
MicroStation experience preferred
Project Management and leadership skills preferred
Excellent communication and organizational skills
