Sr. RF Engineer (ATSO)

Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of RF components and systems, which may include antennas, amplifiers, mixers, oscillators, and filters
Conduct RF simulation and modeling to predict performance and optimize design, if required by the design
Support efforts for existing designs when there is troubleshooting required from manufacturing and when there are obsolescence issues
Develop detailed specifications and documentation for RF systems and components
Understand and design to meet EMC/EMI and environmental requirements
Create and implement test plans for RF systems and components, ensuring they meet performance and reliability standards
Perform RF testing and troubleshooting using advanced measurement equipment such as network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators
Be familiar with RF Test automation and best practices
Analyze test data and refine designs as needed to meet performance criteria
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software, hardware, and mechanical engineers, to integrate RF systems into overall product designs
Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and MFG technicians
Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure successful product transition from design to production
Stay updated with the latest advancements in RF technology and incorporate relevant innovations into design practices
Participate in design reviews, providing technical expertise and recommendations

Required

Experience in the design of SDR's (software defined radios)
Experience using Altium Designer or Microwave Office
Proficiency with RF testing equipment and troubleshooting techniques
Proven track record in successfully leading RF projects from concept to production
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and reliability
Experience with RF simulation tools (e.g., LTSpice, ADS, CST)
Must be US person
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field
7+ years of working experience in RF design and engineering, preferably in radio test or avionics

Preferred

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with RF focus
