Head of Credit Administration
Merchants National Bank is seeking a detail-oriented, motivated professional to serve as their Head of Credit Administration. This role is crucial in overseeing the bank’s credit administration function, ensuring regulatory compliance, accurate loan documentation, and effective loan operations while partnering with various teams to maintain the integrity of the loan portfolio.

Responsibilities
Lead and manage the credit administration team to ensure timely and accurate processing of credit applications, documentation, and disbursements
Develop, implement, and maintain credit administration policies and procedures that align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
Coordinate with credit risk and underwriting teams to monitor credit quality and ensure adherence to approved credit terms and conditions
Oversee the maintenance of credit files and documentation to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with internal and external audit standards
Provide regular reporting and analysis on credit administration performance metrics, identifying areas for process improvement and risk mitigation
Train and mentor staff to enhance their skills and knowledge in credit administration and regulatory compliance
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve credit-related issues and support credit portfolio management
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field
Minimum of 7 years of experience in credit administration or credit risk management within the banking or financial services industry
Strong knowledge of credit policies, regulatory requirements, and credit documentation standards
Proven leadership experience managing teams and driving operational excellence
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
