Sabre Systems, LLC is currently recruiting for a Senior F/A-18 Systems Engineer to support the F/A-18 and EA-18G Program Office at Patuxent River Naval Air Station. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing programmatic and technical knowledge to identify and solve engineering problems, as well as preparing project documentation and serving as a systems engineering representative in various meetings and reviews.

Responsibilities

Performs programmatic or technical knowledge identifying, formulating, designing, and/or testing practical solutions to engineering problems; guiding the engineering development of modern complex systems; and employing systems engineering methods and tools in the development of advanced complex systems

Reviews and prepares project directives, contract deliverables, detail specifications, test and evaluation master plans (TEMPs), contractor design approaches and results of contractor development testing to obtain an overall background and to identify possible integration problem areas

Prepares project correspondence such as test plans, technical reports, letters, and memorandums. Establishes and maintains communication with project team leaders, NAVAIRSYSCOM officials, competency management and IPT team members

Serves as PMA-265 Systems Engineering representative during participation at conferences, design reviews, program meetings, mockup reviews, seminars and symposia. Provides technical inputs and prepares appropriate correspondence and reports such as trip reports, meeting action items, etc

Required

Must have a Technical or Scientific MS or MA degree from an accredited college or university; ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION Technical or Scientific BS or BA degree from an accredited college or university and an additional four (4) years of recent and relevant experience

Must have at least ten (10) years of recent and relevant experience in an engineering position, three (3) of which must be directly related to DoD systems

Demonstrated experience in an area of engineering expertise is required

Must have or be able to obtain an active DoD Secret Clearance or higher

Must be a U.S. Citizen

Preferred

Highly desired to have airworthiness experience and be familiar with NAVAIR airworthiness requirements, flight clearances, and safety of flight

Experience with F/A-18 Hornet/Super Hornet or EA-18G Growler aircraft is highly desired
