INTERDISCIPLINARY GENERAL ENGINEER/ ARCHITECT
NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND ATLANTIC is seeking an Interdisciplinary General Engineer/Architect to serve as a Project Manager in the Planning, Design, & Construction of naval facilities. The role involves managing military construction projects, making technical decisions, and serving as a liaison between project teams and commanders.

Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the project management of work related to military construction projects
You will render technical decisions/recommendations on situations, questions, and/or problems relating to scheduling, funding, project coordination, and contract interpretations related to execution of projects
You will identify areas of risk associated with design and construction and develops mitigation strategies or alternatives
You will lead/serve on A-E Slate/Selection Boards and provides recommendations for contract awards
You will Serve as liaison between project team and Supported Commander
Qualification
Required
Successful completion of a bachelor's or higher degree in architecture
Successful completion of a bachelor's or higher degree in a field related to architecture that included 60 semester hours of course work in architecture or related disciplines of which at least (1) 30 semester hours were in architectural design
Evidence of having successfully passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) examination or any other written test required for professional registration by an engineering licensure board in the various States
Must be a US Citizen
Must be determined suitable for federal employment
Must participate in the direct deposit pay program
New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check
Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level
Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service
You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases
This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes
You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty
Current registration as a Professional Engineer or Registered Architect is required at the GS13 grade level
You must currently be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) if applying for the 0801 series
You must be a Registered Architect (RA) if applying for the 0808 series
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing specific duties
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing specific duties
