They are seeking a Safety Data Analyst to automate the monitoring and analysis of the safety performance of the Aurora Driver, leveraging extensive data to support safety and commercialization goals.

Responsibilities
Work with our safety and engineering teams to provide data tools and insights to continually improve the safety of the Aurora Driver
Partner closely with those stakeholders to design and implement metrics and dashboards to help them measure, understand, and improve their safety performance
Collaborate with a team of world-class Data Scientists and Analysts on Data Science & Analytics problems spanning multiple subsystems (eg. Vehicle Platforms, Hardware Systems, Fault Management System, and Autonomy)
Collaborate with our Data Science & Analytics and Engineering communities to ensure the adoption of best practices and suggest improvements
Qualification
Required
2-4 years of experience as a Data Analyst, Data Scientist, or similar technical role
Proven experience taking Data Analytics projects end-to-end, from synthesizing business needs to building and maintaining data pipelines
Advanced proficiency with relational databases (SQL, PostgreSQL, etc.) and knowledge of Data Engineering best practices
Intermediate knowledge of data analytics infrastructure, including experience with data transformation tools like DBT and various visualization frameworks/tools
Competency in Python, demonstrated by the ability to write readable, maintainable, and easily interpretable code
Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a highly cross-functional, fast-moving, and high-stakes environment
Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to translate and cascade executive input into actionable, data-driven technical analysis for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred
Advanced degree (MS) in Statistics, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related quantitative field
Experience using Amazon Web Services (AWS) tools
Experience using data-modeling business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Looker, etc
Experience presenting your work to Executive teams & interfacing with Safety teams
Experience in the Autonomous Vehicles or other safety-critical systems industries
