They are seeking an experienced Farm and Ranch Claims Adjuster to investigate, evaluate, and settle claims related to agricultural operations, ensuring compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities

Investigate and evaluate farm and ranch claims, including but not limited to:

Crop damage

Livestock losses

Equipment and property damage

Business interruption

Conduct virtual inspections and interviews with policyholders, witnesses, and other stakeholders

Gather and analyze data, including financial records, agricultural reports, and other relevant documents

Determine the extent of damages and losses, and calculate claim settlements in accordance with policy terms and conditions

Communicate claim decisions and settlements to policyholders, agents, and other stakeholders

Maintain accurate and detailed records of claims activity, including documentation of investigations, evaluations, and settlements

Stay up-to-date with industry developments, regulatory changes, and company policies and procedures

Required

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., business, construction management, or a related field)

At least two years of experience in farm and ranch claims adjusting

Strong knowledge of agricultural operations, including crop and livestock production

Familiarity with insurance principles, including policy terms, conditions, and exclusions

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Strong analytical and organizational skills, with attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks

Proficient in Microsoft Office, with ability to learn company-specific software and systems
