Responsibilities

Optimizes medication delivery application usage and workflow efficiency
Collaborates with IT, pharmacy, and clinical leaders to ensure EMR systems meet end user’s needs, as well as the organizations clinical and patient safety needs
Assigned areas include Willow Inpatient Pharmacy, Beacon, Omnicell, First Data Bank, and IV Oncolog
Supports the design and successful adoption of medication delivery clinical systems across the organization
Oversight responsibility for maintaining, testing, and updating dictionaries, drug libraries, and functionalities that support medication delivery
Responsible for coordination of content to ensure standardization and consistency with current evidence-based practice
Participate in activities to ensure medication delivery systems follow regulatory guidelines
Works with multidisciplinary teams to optimize medication delivery clinical systems through standardization, change management and ongoing support, to continuously promote improved quality of care and gain efficiencies using technology
Serves as the liaison between the pharmacy team, IT Team and clinical leadership
Serves as a resource for leadership in the advancement of medication delivery automation and technology
Participates on committees and with project teams to provide expertise related to medication delivery systems, processes, and technology
Provides outstanding customer service to our customers and maintains positive relationships with other employees and contractors
Desire and willingness to work in a collaborative, innovative, flexible, and team-oriented environment, while displaying a problem-solving orientation to issues daily
Troubleshoots identified issues, solves end user problems, enhances, and optimizes applications
Participates in ongoing support and maintenance of existing systems and applications. Performs after-hours maintenance as required
Creates and maintains detailed technical documentation for assigned systems
Provides on-call coverage as deemed appropriate by management
Identifies and escalates production-critical issues to appropriate IT personnel
Uses ticketing system to log and monitor tickets
Participates in projects as deemed appropriate by management
Evaluates and corrects issues involving configuration of applications
Participates in Disaster Recovery planning, implementation, and testing

Required

Minimum of a bachelor's degree in pharmacy or related field
Current Licensure as a Registered Pharmacist in the United States is required
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a pharmacist
Epic and/or third-party vendor certification(s)/accreditation(s) for assigned scope of responsibilities must be successfully obtained within 30 days of completing required first-available classes
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required
Ability to solve complex problems in a timely manner
Accurate with good attention to detail
Ability to work under own initiative / self-motivated
Experience with information technology optimization
Dexterity to learn new systems and programs rapidly
Must keep current on industry trends
Must have the ability to work nights and weekends as needed to support the business
Must have the ability to travel between locations
Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Visio)
Intermediate computer knowledge: Uses Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows
