Finance - Tax Analyst II
Chemelex is a global leader in electric thermal and sensing solutions, and they are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Tax Analyst to manage and support indirect tax compliance and strategy. This role will also serve as a subject matter expert for tax systems and audits, contributing to broader tax planning and M&A activities.

Responsibilities
Prepare and file U.S. sales and use tax returns
Run reports and reconcile sales/use tax accounts
File Canadian GST and PST returns
Manage PGI monthly use tax accruals
Review and approve project summary changes as needed
Provide tax approval for P3/CPQ and manage Vertex TAID entries
Maintain and manage exemption certificates, including customer exemption issues and approvals
File personal property tax returns and Freeport exemptions
Process payments for personal property and real estate tax bills
Support and manage sales/use and property tax audits
Respond to CRA desk audits and full audits
Act as Vertex SME and liaison for system questions or issues
Maintain tax permits and file special returns as required
Conduct tax research as needed or requested
Lead or support reverse audits, directly or with consultants
Serve as the indirect tax expert for M&A activities, software implementations, and strategic planning
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred
5+ years of experience in indirect tax, including sales/use and property tax
Strong knowledge of Vertex or similar tax automation systems
Experience with Canadian GST/PST compliance
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders
