Responsibilities

Manage renewal business under the supervision of an Underwriter and move to writing new business - prepare analysis of exposure and present to Underwriter for signoff
Able to gather and review information on financial conditions, risk exposure, loss history, and economic trends that may impact the terms and conditions offered to the client
Able to extract internal data and research external information to identify trends impacting product line
Able to provide basic forms/coverage interpretations and advise on additional coverage needs, understand and evaluate exposures, and underwrite policy change requests
Accountable for accurate underwriting documentation/information in account management system and adherence to documentation standards
Ensure accuracy of information inputted into all appropriate systems and verify that all necessary documentation is in the file
Establish, support, and maintain effective relationships and/or regular contact with clients and build strong relationships with employees across the organization

Required

College degree and/or equivalent experience
2–4 years in account management, insurance operations, or client-facing roles
Strong computer skills in word, excel, power point; comfortable working in multiple systems
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work individually and within a team
Detail oriented
Self-directed and highly productive with little supervision
US Work Authorization required. Markel does not provide visa sponsorship for this position, now or in the future
