Responsibilities

Assist in gathering and compiling apportionment data to be used in the preparation of State & Local income tax returns
Prepare state income tax return calculations and forms in software for selected state tax filings
Handle administrative tasks associated with state tax filings in 50 jurisdictions, such as mailings, processing payments, copies, scanning, corresponding to notices etc
Assist with quarterly and year-end state income tax provision
Assist with other state projects like planning, automation, research tax law changes, mergers and acquisition, filing short period returns, process improvements, etc
Assist with sales and use tax research, month end compliance and special projects, such as refund claim preparationAssist with ad hoc property tax projects
Work on an Action Learning Project (ALP) to be assigned at the beginning of the internship and present results at the end of the internship
Assist in compiling and updating data to be used in periodic estimates and US federal income tax return filings
Assist in the preparation of pro forma federal income tax returns for entities included in the consolidated US group
Assist in the organizing and drafting of international disclosure statements on US federal income tax return
Work with Manager, Tax Planning and Support to develop streamlined subsidiary reporting of corporate transactions
Assist with various ad hoc international tax and planning projects

Required

Current or recent student pursuing a graduate degree in Accounting or Tax
Proficient in Google Suite
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
Excellent organizational and analytical skills
Ability to work in a collaborative environment

Preferred

Exposure to the area of tax and OneSource tax software a plus
