Responsibilities

Design and build dynamic, scalable and accessible user interfaces that make data clear, engaging and easy to act on

Contribute to architectural decisions that advance the scalability, performance and testability of front-end applications

Research, prototype and implement cutting-edge AI applications and features, integrating GenAI services and AWS-hosted APIs

Integrate UI components into AWS-hosted, cloud-native applications

Work on adjacent server-side codebases as needed, integrating with RESTful and GraphQL APIs

Collaborate with a cross-functional team, including designers, back-end engineers and product managers

Mentor others to continually level up our front-end capability across Gallup Access

Required

Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience

At least five years of professional software engineering experience, including at least three years focused on front-end development with React and TypeScript

Proficiency with the modern React ecosystem, including Vite, TanStack libraries (e.g., React Query) and Tailwind CSS

Experience building and integrating data APIs, with proficiency in at least one server-side programming language (e.g., Java, C# or Python) and RESTful services; GraphQL a plus

Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)

Demonstrated ability to build data-intensive, high-performance UIs

A commitment to working on-site at Gallup's San Francisco office at least three days a week

Preferred

Experience developing or integrating GenAI-driven interfaces, with experience using AI coding tools to increase productivity and efficiency

Coding community involvement, such as side projects, open-source contributions or a public GitHub that reflects ongoing learning and experimentation
