Responsibilities

Develop detailed 3D models, assemblies, and engineering drawings using PTC CREO
Support the mechanical design of spacecraft components, instruments, brackets, enclosures, and ground-support equipment
Perform tolerance stack-ups and ensure manufacturability in accordance with aerospace fabrication methods
Maintain configuration control, documentation, and drawing quality per NASA, GSFC, JPL, or industry aerospace standards
Participate in design reviews, integrate feedback, and collaborate across multidisciplinary engineering teams
Work with manufacturing and suppliers to resolve design and build issues
Other duties as assigned

Required

This position requires US Citizenship or Permanent Resident status due to the sensitivity of customer related information
Must have a bachelor's degree in the field of design or engineering
Must have 8+ years of recent and related work experience
In lieu of degree: Candidates with a minimum 12 years of recent and related experience will be considered
Must be proficient with CREO
Experience designing for spaceflight or aerospace environments
Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and fabrication processes
Ability to produce clear, accurate drawings compliant with GD&T and aerospace documentation requirements
Worksite analysis experience
Must have experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and TEAMS

Able to communicate effectively, verbally and in written form, with internal and external customers
Able to follow company programs, processes, procedures, practices, requirements, goals, and objectives
Must be organized with good time management skills and must be able to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements
Regular attendance in accordance with an established work schedule is critical

Preferred

The ideal person would have some experience in oil and gas or other energy-related fields
Familiarity with PLM/PDM systems (Windchill, Teamcenter, etc.)
Experience with analysis tools or workflows (FEA, tolerance analysis, mass properties)
