Responsibilities
Lead a high-performance software team that works with multiple layers of firmware from the lowest level drivers to higher layers of specialized stacks for AI Compute and Networking Data Center switching products
Coach and mentor the team in understanding their strengths and weaknesses
Take the lead in project planning and scheduling
Take responsibility for non-technical elements of an engineering project (people, financials etc.)
Review and interpret customer requirements/specifications and may act as primary customer contact
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware design, other software teams, program and product management
Set yearly plans and goals for the team, give direction on expected performance, provide regular performance evaluations and ongoing feedback
Accountable for all department objectives and achieving agreed targets for key performance indicators
Provide recommendations for continuous improvement
Work with the team to elevate technical skills and consistently apply best practices
Keep up to date with relevant industry knowledge
Qualification
Required
15+ years of experience
Bachelor degree in Computer Science/Electrical/Electronics Engineering
Seasoned technical manager handling teams of 10-15 engineers
LINUX Kernel/drivers/BSP, BIOS, PCIe, BMC, Manufacturing Diagnostic software, C/C++/Python knowledge
Strong leadership and excellent communication skills
Experience in firmware development for storage, networking and AI compute servers
Preferred
Data Center Networking switches platform software knowledge is a plus
GenAI tools skills is a plus
