Responsibilities

Develops and directs a Field Sales work team by hiring qualified people, utilizing effective communication and motivational techniques, providing ongoing performance management, rewarding higher and higher levels of performance and by providing effective training, development, and succession planning
Determines individual sales goals for Field Sales Representatives by analyzing historical sales performance and account performance. With effective goals, the sales person will be challenged but not overwhelmed that success can be achieved resulting in excellent results for the branch and company
Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, volume potential, price schedules and discounts rates
Develops sales campaigns with Branch General Manager by reviewing and accommodating company goals, developing incentive/reward plan, and measuring overall success of those goals
Advises and participates in the formulation of large quotes by partnering with the sales person, product management and Quote Management groups, in an effort to generate the most competitive and profitable business for TTI
Achieves optimum account coverage and market penetration by assigning customer account responsibilities to the appropriate sales representative
Promotes and drives the VBS Program throughout their organizational responsibility by implementing the three core elements: strategy, planning, and implementation. Timely analysis of the reporting tools will reflect the performance of the program, which in turn will drive sales results positively
Involved in the sales process by representing the company in making presentations and negotiating with customers
Supports and participates in company total quality process by adhering to documented processes and procedures, and identifying the areas of process improvement in every day transactions
Provides excellent customer service by establishing and maintaining effective relationships with customers and suppliers, and serving as a point of contact for TTI sales management
Maintains market awareness on competitor activities, industry tends and new concepts by reading industry periodicals, networking, attending periodic update training events and trade shows which will ensure that the rep current on industry knowledge to aid in making informed decisions and adding value
Performs other related duties as assigned

Required

High school diploma or GED required
Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field; and five years successful field sales experience, with proven ability to meet sales goals and objectives; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Previous management experience also preferred
Possesses thorough knowledge and understanding of sales, purchasing, products, vendors, warehousing, branch operations and systems
Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial information
Strong analytical, problem solving, negotiation, organizational and teaching skills
Must have ability to write reports, business correspondence, articles and presentations
Position requires knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications at the intermediate level
Must possess a valid Driver's License, safe driving record and be insurable by the Companies' liability carrier
Must be able to travel at least 50%, amount varies based on territory assigned
Ability to present complex topics effectively to senior management, public groups and boards of directors
This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). To perform the position, you must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR
