Responsibilities

Responsible for prototype fabrication, assembly, inspection and rework/repair of non-deliverable hardware, special tooling and special test equipment

Update and track shop job statuses using Excel

Perform Special Tooling R&M as well as support test fixture build and assembly as required

Demonstrate general knowledge and experience in metal fabrication processes and utilization of hand tools

Operate manual mill and lathe, saw, drill, and inspection equipment to meet precision machining and measurement requirements

Demonstrate computer proficiency in Microsoft Window, Excel and Word

Read and interpret assembly and tooling engineering drawings

Execute work while following all shop safety procedures

Display effective communication and strong professional behaviors

Required

Highschool diploma or GED with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience

Proficient written and verbal communication skills

Collaborative work ethic to work with others in a team environment

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Physical ability to lift heavy tooling, work with hands positioned above head, and ability to use ladders and step stools

The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
