Monitoring and Evaluation Intern

The Monitoring and Evaluation Intern will assist in conducting program evaluations, implementing client satisfaction surveys, and supporting data analysis and visualization efforts.

Responsibilities

Assist with data visualization tasks, including translating quantitative data into digestible easy to understand visuals
Assist with data cleaning, data entry, and quality assurance within internal databases (e.g., Apricot, HMIS, Excel-based Trackers)
Support qualitative and quantitative data analysis for program performance, outcomes, and grant reporting
Develop or update monitoring tools such as surveys, forms, and logic models
Support the preparation of dashboards, briefs, and visualizations for internal and external audiences
Participate in site visits, program observations, or staff interviews as needed
Contribute to mid-year and end-of-summer evaluation summaries
Perform additional administrative and research tasks to support the MEL team

Qualification

Required

Organized, open-minded, a good listener, an active communicator, and willing to learn new skills
Current undergraduate or graduate student (or recent graduate) in public health, public policy, social sciences, education, data analytics, or related field
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Experience with Microsoft Office and Canva required; familiarity with statistical tools (e.g., SPSS, R, Stata) a plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Interest in youth development, social services, and community-based evaluation
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage time effectively
Commitment to equity, confidentiality, and trauma-informed practice
