Biomedical Imaging Specialist III
Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) is a leading pediatric healthcare institution seeking a Biomedical Imaging Specialist III. This role involves performing repairs, quality control checks, and preventive maintenance on various imaging equipment while serving as a mentor to junior specialists and providing technical consultation to Biomedical Engineering and Imaging departments.

Responsibilities
The Imaging Specialist III works with nominal supervision, serves as a trainer/mentor to all staff levels
Imaging Specialist III is regarded as an internal expert and/or SME
Repair Diagnostic Imaging equipment
Perform preventive maintenance on Diagnostic Imaging equipment
Provide technical consultation on Diagnostic Imaging technology to the Biomedical Engineering and Radiology/Imaging departments
Provide cross-training on Diagnostic Imaging technology to other imaging specialists as requested
Maintains timely, accurate, and thorough documentation of all work performed
The Imaging Specialist III is capable of performing in a lead and/or supervisory capacity, as requested
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma / GED
At least five (5) years Experience as an Imaging Specialist with expertise in at least two (2) imaging modalities
Preferred
Associate's Degree Biomedical Engineering Technology, Electronic Technology or similar field of study
imaging modalities (X-Ray, R/F, Cath Lab/Angio, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, and Nuclear Medicine)
Manufacturer technical training (Siemens, GE, or Phillips)
Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) - Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation - upon hire
Radiology Equipment Specialist (CRES) - Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation - upon hire
