The Supervisor of Purchasing will coordinate and supervise day-to-day purchasing activities, maintain supplier relationships, and ensure timely delivery of materials to support manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities
Oversee procurement processes, including vendor sourcing, bidding, negotiation, creating and approving purchase orders, and coordinate procurement of goods and services
Supervise daily activities of purchasing staff, monitor workflow, and ensure adherence to deadlines
Maintain records of purchases, market trends, deliveries, safety stocks and inventory levels
Confer with vendors and internal staff to resolve issues with defective or delayed goods
Setting suppler KPIs and evaluating supplier performance based on quality, service, and other key measurables
Support negotiations with suppliers on pricing and terms under established guidelines
Review catalogs, directories, and online resources to locate necessary goods and services
Ensure compliance with company purchasing procedures and policies
Qualification
Required
3+ years of procurement or purchasing experience required
1+ years of supervisory experience of a procurement team required
Equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute
Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ERP experience required
Adopt to rapidly changing priorities based on business needs
Preferred
Associate's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred (Bachelor's a plus)
