Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement custom solutions within Oracle Metasolv M6 platform for network inventory management, service fulfillment, and workforce management
Configure and customize M6 modules including Order Management, Task Automation, Network Inventory and Network Design, to align with telecommunications business processes
Develop and maintain integrations between Metasolv M6 and upstream/downstream OSS/BSS systems using SOAP/REST web services, XML, and middleware technologies
Create and modify custom workflows, business rules, validation rules, and data models within M6 framework to support complex network architectures
Design and optimize Oracle database objects including tables, views, stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers for M6 applications
Perform data migration activities from legacy network inventory systems to Metasolv M6, including data mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation
Develop technical specifications, solution design documents, and system architecture diagrams for M6 implementations and enhancements
Write and optimize PL/SQL code to support complex business logic, data processing, and reporting requirements
Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT) for M6 customizations and integrations
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions for M6 applications
Participate in requirement gathering sessions with business stakeholders to understand network inventory and service fulfillment needs
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including network engineering, IT operations, and business analysts on M6-related initiatives
Stay current with Oracle Metasolv M6 updates, patches, and new features, recommending improvements to existing implementations
Work closely with clients to identify process improvements
Analyze business challenges and recommend technology-driven solutions
Support system development, integration, and testing activities
Develop presentations, deliverables, and implementation plans
Assist with proposals and business development efforts
Qualification
Required
6-8 years of hands-on experience with Oracle Metasolv M6 platform architecture, modules, and development framework
Strong proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL development including stored procedures, functions, triggers, and packages
In-depth knowledge of M6 data model, entity relationships, and network inventory management concepts
Understanding of telecommunications network infrastructure including outside plant (OSP), central office, access networks, and transport networks
Experience with M6 integration approaches using SOAP/REST web services, XML, and integration frameworks
Familiarity with TMForum standards and telecommunications industry data models
Experience with Java or J2EE for M6 customizations and extensions
Proficiency in version control systems (Git, SVN) and development lifecycle management tools
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science or related field
Prior consulting experience – in an agile environment – with a leading strategy firm, consulting practice, or consulting technology firm
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred
Prior experience in Telecommunications, Media, or Cable is highly preferred
Past success in generating new business with existing clients
Good time management and collaboration skills
Experience with OSS/BSS systems such as Oracle Metasolv and integration with CRM, Activation tool and Field force systems
Knowledge of FTTH/FTTP network architectures and deployment models
Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
Exposure to cloud-based OSS platforms and modern microservices architectures
Understanding of order management and service orchestration systems
Experience working with major telecommunications service providers or MSOs
