Responsibilities
Assist department-wide where needed with general utility and physical labor functions
Assistance may include but not limited to, utility services including moving, spotting and operating equipment, clean up, wash up, unplugging chutes, turning valves and making storeroom supply runs, etc
Qualification
Required
Position requires minimum age 18
High School diploma or G.E.D
Work any assigned rotating shifts including weekends, holidays and overtime
At least two years of full or part-time work in the last four years
Ability to read, write and speak in English
Satisfactory completion of background check and drug screen
Ability to be able to work well under pressure and within time constraints, multi-task, and build sound relationships with both internal and external customers
Ability to exhibit excellent communication, analytical, organizational and computer skills
Capable of independently making sound decisions through creative problem-solving, ambiguity and change
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple requests simultaneously
Ability to read and understand technical correspondence, memos, instructions, and reports
Ability to trade off, or substitute for the Extra Hand and/or entry-level positions throughout the mill
Preferred
Pulp & Paper industry experience preferred
At least 2-5 years of experience in manufacturing, warehouse, equipment or process operations and equivalent skills in an industrial manufacturing environment
