CoStar Group is a leading global provider of commercial and residential real estate information and analytics. They are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to building innovative, scalable applications, focusing on backend development for residential products, apps, and services.

Responsibilities

Design and develop high performance web applications used by hundreds of thousands of users globally

Design and develop using Object Oriented design principles and software design patterns to attain high reusability and maintainability

Promote consistent architecture patterns for design and development within and across Homes development teams

Collaborate closely with other Software Engineers across the organization

Advocate standards-driven technology

Facilitate discussions among other .NET and database developers to exchange new ideas and improvements

Continually evaluate emerging technologies to identify opportunities, trends and best practices that can be used to strengthen CoStar’s technology platform and development practices

Required

Bachelor's Degree required from an accredited, not for profit, in person, university or college (preferably in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field)

A track record of commitment to prior employers

5+ years of production development experience with C#, .NET (or .NET Core) and/or Java

Experience delivering products that meet specifications and performance SLA

Experienced in unit, performance, and automation testing

Deeply understand what drives the business for which you are building software

Preferred

Experience in relational database design (AWS RDS, MS SQL) including performance tuning

Experience with AWS S3, Step Functions, Lambda, SQS, Dynamo, ElastiCache, Apache Kafka and Datadog

A demonstrable track record of building and launching successful products and platforms
