Commercial Project Manager (CPM)

Responsibilities
Serve as the primary commercial interface with Project Management, ensuring accurate project setup (including WBS), financial performance planning, and compliance with US-GAAP/IFRS, Sarbanes-Oxley, export controls, and internal guidelines
Manage projects end-to-end — from order acceptance, cost tracking, forecasting, invoicing, revenue recognition, and cash flow management — while maintaining data integrity across SAP and reporting tools
Lead financial planning, forecasting, reconciliation, deviation analysis, and risk/opportunity assessments to prevent margin erosion and drive performance improvements through initiatives like claim management and optimized costing
Support Project Managers with change order management, contractual requirements, and alignment of supplier/subcontractor terms; collaborate with Procurement to ensure competitive pricing and adherence to project guidelines
Evaluate international business models, considering tax and export implications (withholding tax, VAT, import fees), and coordinate performance guarantees, insurance requirements, and other commercial obligations
Demonstrate strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with a hands-on, detail-oriented approach in fast-paced environments; present findings effectively to all levels while applying solid Accounting and Controlling expertise (revenue recognition, loss calculations, etc.)
Qualification
Required
BS/BA in related discipline or advanced degree
1-5 years of successful experience in related field
Proficient in SAP (including Billing and Project modules) with advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience creating automated workflows using Microsoft Power Automate
Strong organizational, analytical, and detail-oriented approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively
Works well both independently and in team environments, demonstrating reliability, collaboration, and adaptability
