Responsibilities

You will support the design phase and engineer major components for large-scale energy storage projects
Recognize inconsistencies in engineering drawings, take corrective action, and work toward better design quality and efficiency
Prepare technical scopes of work for contracts
Work with project managers and manage project milestones and recognize risks
Work with diverse teams, improve opportunities, and integrate systems and controls
Must understand the specifications for major equipment purchasing, ensure, and propose solutions
Must understand the permitting requirements, propose solutions to legal challenges, and recommend site design improvements
Travel 25% of the time for project specific responsibilities

Required

15+ Years experience Solar/PV Engineering or Construction
Expertise in one or more of these areas: Power electronics, Battery storage system design, Substation design, Generation tie design
Familiarity with energy storage technologies, including battery chemistries, power conversion units, and DC/DC converters
Familiarity with lithium-ion battery storage safety standards (UL1973, UL9540, UL9540A, NFPA 855, NFPA 70E, NEC, applicable IFC/IBC sections)
Familiarity with IEC 61215, 61646, 61730
