Responsibilities

Reviews and analyzes job costs for job closure. Provides daily and weekly reports and leads team meetings to review and discuss variances

Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts such as general ledger accounts documenting business transactions

Balances general ledger accounts with supporting documentation on payroll, worker’s compensation, health insurance, legal, and miscellaneous expense accounts

Reviews Accounts Payable entries for reasonableness and accuracy and approves and posts batches

Reviews raw material purchase costs for reasonableness and accuracy and makes corrections where necessary

Reviews inventory value for accuracy

Is responsible for preparing supporting documentation for weekly forecasts and assists Plant Controller

Assists cycle count team in resolving any count variances

Provides documentation and support to company auditors at their request

Analyzes inter-company activity to ensure accounts are reconciled at month-end and prepares selected month-end journal entries

Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned

Qualification

Cost accounting experienceMicrosoft Office SuiteBachelor’s Degree in AccountingAccounting experienceFinancial analysisTeam collaboration

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field

Two to four years related accounting experience and/or training

Microsoft Office Suite / Excel Advanced level

Must be able to climb stairs, bend, sit, stand, and walk

Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds

Preferred

Cost accounting experience
