Graduate Coordinator of Clinical Education
Husson University is seeking a Graduate Coordinator of Clinical Education to support its online Graduate Nursing Program. The role involves helping students secure clinical placements, overseeing licensure requirements, and collaborating with faculty to ensure educational outcomes are met.

Responsibilities
Establish and nurture relationships with clinical sites and associated preceptors for the online graduate nursing programs
Guide, support, and coordinate student placements and work with the Director of Graduate Nursing and track coordinators to ensure program experiential outcomes are being achieved
Identify placements that will maximize students' practicum experiences
Facilitate quality learning experiences for students during clinical education
Select clinical learning environments that demonstrate characteristics of sound patient/client management, ethical and professional behavior, and currency with nursing practice
Work with the Director and Track Coordinators to ensure that clinical sites meet the student learning needs for the course and have the practice skills needed for student learning using established processes within Graduate nursing
Work with students, Director, Track Coordinators, and administrative assistant(s) to ensure that all pre-clinical requirements are met by students in a timely manner, including immunizations, CPR, background checks, facility paperwork, name tags, and any other site-specific requirements
Educate/support students, preceptors, and academic faculty about clinical education and assist in the orientation and guidance regarding software training and verification
For purposes of program management and evaluation, perform site visits, both virtual and in-person (when applicable) to assist in relationship building and evaluations of site locations, obtain information from clinical preceptors as requested. Share data collected with the Director and Track Coordinators
Attend training sessions and meetings and collaborate with the administrative assistant in maintenance of the Centralized Clinical Placement System and other Experiential/Clinical Learning Management Systems (e.g. Exxat, etc.)
Manage the applicable database(s) listed above to assist lead faculty in tracking internship/clinical experiences
Participate in required meetings and committees of the SON and College of Health. Adhere to processes and policies developed by the Director of Graduate Nursing, Track Coordinators, and the Division of Distance and Online Education (DODE) to ensure compliance with applicable rules and regulations, including NONPF standards and CCNE requirements for clinical placements
Develop, monitor, and refine the clinical education component of the curriculum in conjunction with nursing faculty and Director
Maximize available resources for the clinical education program
Actively engage faculty in clinical education planning, implementation, and assessment
Approve graduate placements and preceptors each term
Gathering data and preparing detailed documents
Representing the graduate nursing program off campus when appropriate
Serving on or chairing committees, as appropriate
Addressing budget-related tasks as directed by the Director/Dean
Performing other duties as assigned by the administration
Qualification
Required
Minimum of a bachelor's degree in nursing, a health-related field, or healthcare administration
Knowledge of healthcare settings
If professional licensure is held, it should be in good standing and unencumbered
Knowledge of curriculum design, program administration, evaluation, instruction, and advising
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Familiarity with Microsoft (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Google platforms, and Learning Management Systems (such as Canvas)
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work well with others
Experience using technology
Strong writing skills
Organizational and networking skills
Proven administrative and strategic thinking skills
Ability to work with health care organizations to form connections and support clinical placement
Flexibility and adaptability to meet the clinical needs of faculty and students
Understanding of educational processes and measurement of educational outcomes
