Responsibilities
Lead category management for IT and telecom areas including specifically hardware and telecom, including sourcing strategy development and supplier performance management
Utilize e-sourcing tools to support sourcing activities and data analysis
Drive cost reduction initiatives and implement sourcing strategies
Conduct market research to inform category strategies and sourcing activities
Conduct risk management activities and process improvement initiatives
Manage supplier relationships, including executive business reviews and follow-up actions
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with business goals
Optimize sourcing workflows and processes to improve delivery timelines and reduce costs
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline from a 4-year college or university
Minimum of 6+ years of sourcing experience, preferably in IT and telecommunications within the pharmaceutical/biotech industry
Strong understanding of strategic sourcing principles and supplier relationship management, specifically in IT and telecom
Proficiency in e-sourcing tools and data analysis
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and complex projects effectively
Strong collaboration skills to build and maintain business partner relationships
Preferred
Advanced degree (e.g., MBA) or supply chain professional designation preferred
