Responsibilities

Responsible for timely and accurate documentation of provider’s encounter with patients during the visit
Completes follow up tasks from patient visits (referrals, patient messages, etc)
Must have good listening and typing skills while being unobtrusive and attentive
Must be familiar with computer systems and medical terminology
Supports other staff members as necessary to ensure efficient operation of the clinic

Required

HS Diploma and/or GED
Certificate and/or Registry from an accredited institution. Must be able to provide documentation of certification and/or registry
Good listening and typing skills while being unobtrusive and attentive
Familiarity with computer systems and medical terminology

Preferred

Minimum 2 years experience as Medical Assistant preferred in a clinical setting and/or equivalent
Electronic Health Record experience preferred
Lab, EKG, and X-ray experience preferred
