Source and evaluate matcha suppliers, primarily in Japan
Negotiate contracts and establish strong, long-term relationships with producers
Sample and assess matcha quality to meet company standards
Regularly communicate with Japanese partners and suppliers
Stay current with matcha market trends and innovations
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely supply and product consistency
Qualification
Required
Deep understanding of matcha and Japanese tea culture
Fluent in Japanese (written and spoken)
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Ability to travel internationally as needed
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Preferred
Experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management preferred
