Responsibilities
Design simple and complex bridges (primarily of concrete and steel construction) and a variety of transportation related structures (retaining walls, culverts, and other miscellaneous structures)
Involved in the development of Plans, Specifications, and Estimate (PS&E) packages
Assist with bridge safety inspections
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited 4-year engineering college
5+ years of experience in bridge and retaining wall projects preferably to VDOT and/or MD SHA standards
Familiarity with AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications
Proficiency using Microstation
Strong leadership skills and desire to deliver the highest quality projects to our clients
Proficient in MS Office (WORD and EXCEL)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Must have a valid driver's license, good driving record and ability to pass a driving record background check
Preferred
Master's degree
Virginia Professional Engineer (PE) License
Knowledge of OpenBridge Designer, Leap Bridge Concrete, CSiBridge, and/or similar analysis programs
