CT Scan Tech Trainee

Responsibilities

Students of the Pulse program will complete self-paced didactic training
Clinical shifts will be completed as a part of the training
All completed exams will be loaded onto the ARRT website
Upon completion of the Pulse Program, caregivers shall move into an open CT Tech position at that entity
Complies with established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives
Attends variety of meetings, conferences, seminars as required or directed
Demonstrates use of Quality Improvement in daily operations
Complies with all health and safety regulations and requirements
Respects diverse views and approaches, demonstrates Standards of Respect, and contributes to creating and maintaining an environment of professionalism, tolerance, civility and acceptance toward all employees, patients and visitors
Maintains, regular, reliable, and predictable attendance
Performs other similar and related duties as required or directed

Required

Enrollment in the Pulse Program through UMMH
RTR licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
Must take the initial exam for the ARRT certification in CT Scan within 3 months of the completion of the required competencies
Must pass the ARRT CT certification exam within 12 months
BLS certification
Maintain all area specific CEUs for ARRT, DPH according to regulation

Preferred

A 2-3 paragraph written statement that describes why you would like to be a CT Technologist. Describe your personal qualities or traits that will make you a good fit for the position as well as any accomplishments or experience that you would like highlighted
A written letter of recommendation from a current manager or supervisor, a clinical instructor or a professor
